Nice atmosphere. Felt like the menu should have more seafood options. I ended up trying the steak, hubs got the salmon and fried chicken. The food was ok and drinks were ok. Had the night shade, the waiter walking by told us it was fruity but wasn’t too me. Nothing bad just not my taste. Our server was great! Had a lot of knowledge about the menu and offered suggestions. Our first time there, but overall it was nice. Nothing bad stood out that I noticed.

I have loved this place for years. They used to have pot roast sliders but they are no longer on the menu. However, they still have pot roast. When asked to serve it on a bun with onion straws they didn’t even hesitate. I know it sounds simple, but they gave great good and they make it the way you want it.

We wanted to find a beloved local joint for dinner on our road trip through St Louis and ran across The Shaved Duck Smokehouse. It had a warm, funky vibe and we knew it was going to be a fun time. We ordered the special smoked bacon encrusted with walnuts to start and then I ordered a burnt end sandwich with slaw and their daily veggie special, the flash fried brussels with hoisin sauce. My hubs ordered the smoked meatloaf with a side of fries both of which he thoroughly enjoyed. We wish we could’ve explored the cocktails but we had more driving to do. Great find!

Love the environment and live Irish music was great. Food was okay – bangers and mash are kind of bland, but sauce is what makes it. I don’t like mustard, but the sauce was pretty good. Wait staff was great. Prices are a little high, but unique cuisine that is a must try.

We went for their Christmas pop up event “LIT” and it was amazing!! The whole place is filled to the brim with Christmas decorations & lights! + festive drinks!! It was definitely neat! Have to book tickets to go. You get a 2 hour time slot. Can book 1-10 people I do believe. Be on the look out though when tickets go live because they sell out fast. I will say soulard is a bar block with multiple bars around a few different streets, so IF there is an event happening or a collage thing going on, be prepared to see a lot of drunk people outside. It’s a party block for sure but not always like this. Only when college events, fundraisers, or events are taking place

Wonderful environment and fantastic food. Staff very polite and on top of things for the most part. My only complaint would be the woman’s bathroom never got a refill of soap or paper towels while my friends and I were there after over and hour when one of us went back there again.
That being said, I still highly recommend this place and don’t blame the serves for not being able to attend to the restrooms properly due to how busy they were.
I love the fact that the band was from Ireland and the experience was one I will never forget. The food tasted amazing and the drinks were wonderful as well. I loved the atmosphere and will for sure be returning in the future. 😁
